AITranslate Privacy Policy

Important AI disclosure: AITranslate uses third-party AI service providers to perform features requested by the user. AITranslate asks for the user’s explicit permission in the app before sending user content to these providers.
1. Data AITranslate may process
Depending on the feature the user chooses, AITranslate may process:
Account information such as display name, email address, account identifier, and remaining translation balance.
Text entered or sent by the user for translation or chat.
Recorded/imported audio and audio extracted from a video selected by the user.
Transcripts, subtitles, translation context, and generated speech needed to provide the requested feature.
Technical information needed for app functionality, such as push-notification device tokens and room membership/status.
Purchase/subscription transaction information required to provide purchased translation minutes. Payment-card details are handled by Apple and are not provided to AITranslate.
2. How data is collected
Data is provided directly by the user, created when the user uses translation/chat/audio/video features, or generated by the app as necessary to operate those features. AITranslate does not access a user’s microphone, photos, or files unless the user chooses the relevant feature and grants the applicable iOS permission.
3. Third-party AI providers
OpenAI. When AI processing is requested, text, audio, transcripts, or translation context may be sent through AITranslate’s server to OpenAI for speech recognition, translation, language processing, and AI speech generation.
Kits AI (Arpeggi, Inc.). When the user chooses relevant Studio Pro, vocal-separation, or voice-conversion features, audio clips may be sent through AITranslate’s server to Kits AI / Arpeggi, Inc. for the requested audio processing.
AITranslate does not authorize these AI providers to use AITranslate user content for advertising or to sell user content. AITranslate uses third-party processors only to provide requested app functionality and requires them to protect processed user content with privacy and security safeguards at least as protective as those described in this policy. If AITranslate cannot maintain that level of protection with a provider, AITranslate will stop sending user content to that provider.
4. User permission before AI sharing
Before AITranslate sends user content to a third-party AI provider, the app displays a consent screen that:
describes the categories of data that may be sent;
identifies OpenAI and, where applicable, Kits AI (Arpeggi, Inc.);
explains the purpose of the sharing; and
asks the user to explicitly allow or decline third-party AI processing.
If the user declines, third-party AI processing remains disabled. The user may later review the privacy choice inside AITranslate and may revoke previously granted permission.
5. Purpose of processing
AITranslate uses data only as needed to provide account services, speech recognition, translation, subtitles, chat/room features, voice generation/voice processing, purchases, support, security, and other features explicitly requested by the user.
6. Retention and deletion
AITranslate minimizes retention. Temporary media created for processing is deleted when it is no longer needed for the requested task or according to the app’s temporary-file cleanup process. Account and room information may be retained to provide account and room functionality until deleted or no longer needed. Users can initiate permanent account deletion inside the app; associated account data is deleted subject to limited records that must be retained for legal, fraud-prevention, security, or transaction requirements.
7. AI provider data practices
OpenAI states that, by default, inputs and outputs from its API platform are not used to train or improve OpenAI models unless the API customer explicitly opts in to data sharing. Third-party providers may process data according to their applicable service terms and privacy policies, subject to the protections described above.
8. No sale or advertising tracking
AITranslate does not sell user personal data and does not share user content with data brokers for advertising. AITranslate does not use third-party AI processing for cross-app advertising tracking.
9. User choices
Users can decline or revoke third-party AI processing permission in the app. Users can also delete their AITranslate account from the Account screen.

Nếu người dùng không đồng ý, các chức năng cần AI bên thứ ba sẽ bị tắt. Người dùng có thể xem lại hoặc thu hồi quyền trong ứng dụng. AITranslate không bán dữ liệu cá nhân và không cho phép nhà cung cấp AI dùng nội dung của người dùng cho quảng cáo. AITranslate yêu cầu các nhà xử lý bên thứ ba bảo vệ nội dung người dùng với mức bảo vệ quyền riêng tư và bảo mật ít nhất tương đương chính sách này.
